What This is All About
This is how it all started. My mum gave up gluten as an experiment, and she discovered that the yacky feelings she was having after eating certain foods went away. Then I started with the yacky feelings, but noticed I didn't get them after eating at my mums, so I did the no gluten experiment too, and to my disappointment I also felt much better. Bummer, I didn't want to be on a special diet, I love eating stuff too much!
A year down the line and I'm getting pretty good at this gluten free thing, so I'm going to share what I have learnt. I have some recipes to share, some naturally GF anyway, some with modifications, like the GF (Gluten Free) Carrot Cake Muffins I have just baked.
I'm not a diagnosed Celiac, but I'm off for my first consultation with a specilaist in a few weeks, so I will tell you all about that too, and what the Docs say.
I'm going to tell you what its like being a GF wife to a husband that loves pizza and pasta, and the problems I have eating anywhere that isnt home, like friends and familie's homes, restaurants, work canteens, on the go.
And finaly I'm going to tell you about shopping in the UK's supermarkets when things need to be GF, and who does the nicest GF part baked baguettes!
