Gluten Free on the Go, Part 3: Boots Meal Deal

I'm not a huge fan of the 'Boots meal deal' because there are lots of sandwiches, lots of pasta salads and not much else. Also, I'm a rather late luncher when I am out, so they are normaly out of anything I could eat by the time I get there. Its £2.50 ish for a sandwich or salad, crisps and a drink. Or you can upgrade to first class meal deal and get a chocky bar too... wooowee, how exciting. When you have completed your meal you will have a mountain of packaging to deal with, and lets face it most of the sandwiches taste the same. I certainly don't miss the magic 'I can last a week while I'm being processed' strange bread they use that never goes soggy in contact with cucumber or mayo, that's just not normal.

Anyway, if you do make it there early there are a few things you can get there, like carrot sticks, little bags of apples and grapes, and the odd tuna salad that doesn't have pasta in it. At least all the products have well listed ingredients. I'm not really into it and I'm finding it hard to say anything good.

The Boots website isn't much help, the 'free from' pages have gone walkabout, and there are no other pages covering a GF diet.

I don't eat there anymore, nuff said.
