Barbecue Season is Here, Smell My GF Sausages

The barbecue season has started already, and the tantalising smell of sausages burning to a crisp is wafting around our estate on the weekends. I love barbeques, we had our first this Saturday, which just featured some pork kebabs, pesto veggie kebabs, a tub of coleslaw and some damp barbecue briquettes that took ages to get going, was worth the effort though.

But that lovely English barbecue smell is from sausages and burgers, not my poncy kebabs, so I was very glad to find some gluten free, 'outdoor bred pork sausages' sausages available in M&S today. I have grabbed some for the freezer to be whisked out next time its sunny enough. They are 97% British pork, the rest being spices, rice flour, sea salt, dried onion and a preservative. That's good enough that even the husband may be tempted by them! Though I may just end up sharing them with the dog. Never mind, I haven't had a sausage for a year now, so maybe I will just scoff the lot in one sitting to make up for lost time. To top it all they are 2 packs for £4 at the mo, so time to stock up the freezer.

I will be barbecuing them as per family tradition, burnt black as they will go, maybe a little exploded, eaten off the end of a fork like a peasant. If feeling extravagant, dip in ketchup. Bring on the smell of sausages on the barbie again.
