Living Without the Oven
Bad news, the cooker is broken. Well the oven part of it is, if you try and put it on it trips the electric or goes on and off and on and off. This is added to the fact that the fan that keeps the hob cool when you have the oven on is on the blink, the seal has gone so takes ages to get up to temp, the timer beeps when it having a good day, and one of the burners will not ignite. It's a nice looking cooker though, and trying to find a similar one is a pain. After much internet searching, a visit to two branches of Comet, one Currys and even B&Q we found a Hotpoint one we like, only to discover its 2 cms to deep for our work surface, booooo.
We would really like a big range cooker, so I think we will have to just get a cheap one to bung in the space till we move and then get a nice big new range cooker when we do, yay!
So... I'm looking for a stainless steel, 60cm x 60cm, dual fuel, freestanding cooker, that's cheap....ummm but doesn't look it!
The search is on, until then all meals must be cooked on the hob, or while flicking the oven switch every 15 mins :(
